Documentation in progress

Maintenance history should make past work easier to review.

This guide outlines the planned record-keeping approach for maintenance events. The exact app interface may change while NozzleNote by BMR remains in development.

What a maintenance record is for

A maintenance record is intended to capture what happened, when it happened, and why it mattered. Good records can help users understand repeated issues, remember replaced parts, and review past actions before making new changes.

Examples of useful notes

  • Cleaning, lubrication, belt checks, or visual inspections.
  • Nozzle, tube, fan, sensor, or build surface replacement notes.
  • Symptoms observed before maintenance and results observed afterward.
  • Parts, consumables, or settings that may be useful to remember later.

Keep records practical

The most useful notes are usually short, specific, and dated. NozzleNote by BMR is not planned as an automatic diagnostic system, so users should still rely on careful inspection, manufacturer guidance, and responsible repair practices.
