Current status
NozzleNote by BMR is still in development, and the app is not publicly available yet. This privacy notice is a preliminary placeholder intended to guide future review before any public release, payment flow, analytics setup, newsletter, support intake, licensing system, cloud feature, mobile companion, or account system is added.
Current website data collection status
The current public website is a static Astro site. It does not include account registration, checkout, analytics, newsletter signup, contact forms, authentication, license activation, cloud backup, diagnostic upload, or backend data collection in the repository at this stage.
Hosting providers, browsers, or network infrastructure may still process basic technical information such as IP addresses, request times, user agents, and security logs. A future production deployment should document the actual hosting provider and log retention details before launch.
Local-first data direction
NozzleNote by BMR is designed with a local-first direction for desktop maintenance tracking. The intended product direction is that printer profiles, maintenance records, parts notes, incidents, reminders, and related app data are primarily managed on the user's own device rather than requiring a hosted account by default.
Final technical details, storage behavior, backup options, export behavior, and any optional sync or support flows remain subject to implementation and legal review. Users should plan to maintain their own backups when the app is eventually released.
Future or conditional data categories
The following categories are listed for planning only. They are not presented as current website collection, and they should not be collected unless the related feature is implemented, documented, and reviewed first.
- License email, if future license activation or purchase recovery is introduced.
- Device hash or similar device identifier, if future device activation is introduced.
- Activation data, entitlements, and license status, if future paid catalogs or license keys are introduced.
- Diagnostic logs, if a future user-controlled diagnostic export or support workflow is implemented.
- Optional account data, if a future account system is added.
- Optional cloud backup data, if a future cloud backup feature is added.
- Future mobile companion data, if a mobile companion workflow is implemented.
- Print quality photos, only if a future photo-based quality history feature is implemented.
No compliance claim
This draft does not claim that NozzleNote by BMR satisfies any specific privacy law. Future legal review should determine which laws apply, what disclosures are required, and whether additional privacy controls are needed before public availability or any data-collecting feature launches.
Future changes
If future milestones add analytics, crash reporting, support forms, email updates, licensing systems, payment processors, cloud features, mobile companion workflows, app distribution platforms, or quality-photo workflows, this notice should be updated before those features are launched. Related release status is listed on the release preparation page, and planned work is summarized on the roadmap.
Support reference
Until a final support channel is selected, privacy-related questions should be treated as part of the general product readiness work described in the support hub. A reviewed contact method should be added before public launch.
